Abstract: The water filtering equipments are important part of pumping station in coastal nuclear power plants and fossil fuel power plants, which relate to the safe operation of the boost pump, the conventional island turbine condenser and the nuclear island heat exchangers. The water filtering equipments of pumping station include the coarse and fine grilles, the grille cleaner, the frame filtering screen, the rotating drum filtering screen and others. These equipments can be selected according to the comprehensive analysis of the materials about the water consumption, the tidal level, the sediment concentration, the tree branches and weeds, the all kinds of suspended matter and the marine organisms and referring to the operation of similar coastal power plants. The rotating drum filtering screen was researched and discussed emphatically; the domestic and foreign water filtering equipments were analyzed and compared; and the design key points of water filtering equipments of pumping station of the coastal power plants were summarized.
