Abstract:

Owing to space limitation, a mechanical draft cooling tower is adopted for a certain newly built gas turbine thermal power plant in Zhejiang. Furthermore, because that the project is located in urban area, the noise reduction requirement is higher, and the noise environment is needed to reach Ⅱ class standard. In the early technology selection period of this project, some technical measures are considered to reduce the body noise of a mechanical draft cooling tower to a minimum, with some noise reduction measures for air inlet and outlet are also adopted in later period, the whole noise control of the cooling tower is successfully to meet the requirement of environmental Ⅱ class standard.
