Design of a base system for power equipment in a distribution system based on digital twin

Abstract:

With the deepening of the power grid digitalization transformation, new power distribution systems gradually become more intelligent, electronic and digital. However, the collection, transmission, storage and analysis of massive multi-source heterogeneous data also bring challenges to the distribution systems. A design of a base system for power equipment in a power distribution system based on digital twin is proposed and is at the service of advanced external applications. The system consists of four major parts: a metadata management platform, a standardized data access management platform, an intelligent algorithm unified scheduling platform and a distributed data storage platform. Proven by engineering cases, the proposed system can solve the problems of multi-source heterogeneous data access and information island that widely exist in current power distribution systems. The system can provide strong support for the construction of digital and intelligent power grids.
