Treatment of crack in steam inlet conduit of the lower medium-pressure cylinder

Abstract

Abstract: The cracks in steam inlet conduit welding seam of the lower medium-pressure cylinder of Huangpu Power Plant Unit No.6 were found by metallographic examination. This major defect was eliminated by flexible application of the patch weld technology, the heat treatment technology and the repair working process, and a better result was obtained. In this paper, the repairing process was summarized for reference.
