Abstract: After stopping and air brake quitting, a hydroelectric generator set may rotate a certain angle slowly and then stop by self. The possible electro-magnetic, hydraulic and mechanical reasons were analyzed in detail. The conclusion drawn is that the guide blade sealing strips were fixed no firmly, and the self-rotation was eliminated by a minor overhaul.
