Abstract: According to the investigation of 110kV output transmission line breaking fault in Baisha Hydropower Plant, the fault process was introduced, the main reasons of line breaking were analyzed, and the probability of lightning strike of two wires simultaneously in 30s after discharge caused by windage yaw was discussed. It is pointed out that must adopt relevant prevention measures based on the microtopography, the microclimate of the transmission line location and various disastercausing factors.
