Abstract: The oil pressure device of Xiaoxiang Hydropower Station was introduced. The problems existing in the initial control mode were analyzed. And the experiences obtained during the reformation plan implementation were summarized. Then a conclusion was obtained that the soft starter can be successfully used in oil pressure system reformation of hydropower station and can make obvious economic benefit. The success of this example provided a reference for control mode optimization of hydropower station auxiliary equipment.
