Abstract: Starting from lightning prevention of primary equipment of electric power system, the relation between the lightning prevention of primary and secondary equipments was researched, and some concrete lightning protection measures were put forward. It is pointed out that to better ensure the safety and stable operation of power system only if the lightning protections of primary and secondary equipments should be formed a complete lightning protection system.
