Abstract: The basic principle of energyloss analysis and the data processing methods, such as the equivalent enthalpy drop method, the heat deviation method and the thermodynamic method, were expounded. Based on these, a realtime online energyloss analysis system was developed. The application of the system in a power plant shows that the system can raise the unit operation and management level effectively. 

