Abstract: Considering the working principle of plasma, the structure characteristics, the demands of coal grade, the regulation of air distributing, the safety monitoring and other respect, the technical essentials of plasma ignition in cold state and temperatureincreasing control were discoursed. According to the practical application effects of the technology in Huadian Baotou Power Generation Corporation Limited, the experiences of plasma ignition and temperatureincreasing control technology, which is suitable for directfired plate mill with middlespeed and variable load, were summarized.
