Analysis and countermeasures on accident caused by incorrect starting signal of 500kV circuit breaker failure

Abstract

Abstract: In Tongbai Pumped Storage Power Plant, the main transformer protection incorrectly received the starting signal of 500kV circuit breaker failure several times, and which caused the breaker incorrectly tripped. The process of the accident was introduced, and the reasons of the accident were analyzed. After the relevant countermeasures were adopted, the normal operation of the main transformer protection was recovered.
