Analysis on fault of frequency converter for 6kV draft fan

Abstract

Abstract:

The irrational design of control circuit of frequency converter may cause hidden trouble for safe and stable operation of the frequency converter.

Taking the fault of the frequency converter for the 6kV draft fan in Yunfu Power Plant as example, the reasons of the fault were analyzed. It was pointed

out that the irrational design of the inner control circuit of the highvoltage frequency converter and the poor quality of the elements are the crucial

reasons of the fault of the highvoltage frequency converter. The preventive measures were put forward to reduce various losses caused by the fault.
