Abstract: The intelligentization of the gas insulated switchgear (GIS) is an important aspect for intelligent substation system. Starting from the practicability, aiming at the current technical development level and the user acceptance, the problems existing in the design of the GIS control circuit, the online monitoring, the electronic instrument transformer and the control cabinet scheme were expounded. The performance and reliability of the control circuit were improved by using of the unified design of the mechanism box and the intelligent terminal. Considering the feasibility of engineering implementation, an integrative online monitoring scheme was put forward. It is pointed out that in order to apply the new technology and the new method, the relative test instructions and calibration methods should be amended to adapt to the needs of technology development.
