Abstract: Abstract:At present, domestic power generation industry mainly depends on the thermal power generation. Due to the diversity of the power generation technologies, the building structures of thermal power plants are more complex than civil buildings. The power plants built during sixties and seventies 20th century are facing with new round of reformation, and new challenges occur in field of detection and identification methods and the strengthening technologies for power plant building structures. Aiming at the features of power plant building structures, the relevant detection and identification methods and strengthening technologies were summarized, and the suitability of different strengthening methods was illustrated by practical examples.
