Abstract: In normal operation of the 1000MW unit, the operation mode of the condensate pumps is that two pumps are put into operation, and one pump is standby. The two operating pumps are controlled by variable frequency control technology, and the standby pump is driven by 50Hz power source. Along with increase of the unit peak shaving depth, the variation range of the unit load also increases. After the condensate pump was controlled by variable frequency control technology, it is very important to keep the condensate pump outlet mainpipeline pressure and the water level of the deaerator to be stable in normal operation. A solution of the operation and control mode of the condensate pump of 1000MW unit was proposed.
