Abstract:The photovoltaic array spacing design for largescale aboveground PV power station and housetop PV power station built on northern slope area was studied. Based on the concrete gradient, the terrain and the azimuth angle of buildings, an optimized design of PV array spacing was given. By means of general array spacing calculating formula, the coefficient of sunshine spacing at different latitude of the Northern Hemisphere was calculated. The relation between the field gradient and the PV array spacing was analyzed. The theoretic calculation method of PV array spacing design for northern slope area was deduced. Aiming at similar largescale aboveground power station, a multistep array design method was proposed.
