Abstract: Abstract:The cause, the kinds and the hazard of the ice coating on power transmission line were introduced. Some research models of formation process of ice coating on transmission line and the research progresses in ice coated transmission line online monitoring technologies at home and abroad were combed. According to application of the technologies and their shortcomings, relevant improvement measures were proposed.
