Abstract: Abstract:In demolition and reconstruction process of the original coalfired unit, the gas displacement of the condenser of newbuilt unit was enlarged. It was determined by check computation that the original cooling tower can not satisfy the requirement of fullload generation. The optimization measures, such as to reform the cooling tower, to increase the condenser area and to increase the condenser backpressure, were proposed. After the cooling tower was optimized and reformed, the cooling efficiency of the cooling tower was maximized, and the economic efficiency of the unit was improved greatly.
