Abstract: Abstract:The working condition of the wharf coal conveying belt system and the operation status of the existing reactive compensation device were introduced. The several factors leading to lower power factor were analyzed. It was pointed out that the higher or lower active load and reactive load and the differences of the motor characteristics can influence on the power factor of the system directly. Based on this, depending on the deep calculation, an optimal configuration scheme of the reactive compensation was proposed. After the scheme had been implemented, better results were obtained.
