Numerical research on three dimensional flow field of governing stage of steam turbine under partial admission condition

Abstract:Using the software NUMECA,adopting the threedimensional viscous numerical simultion method,a numerical analysis for the internal flow of govening stage under steam chamber and governing stage partial admission condition was carried out. It was found hat due to the structural constraint,the flow inside steam chamber is turbulent, and the flow loss is large.Due to partial admission structure,there are larger arc loss and windage loss in governing stage.Those are main reasons leading low adjustment efficiency.
