Abstract:At present,the technology of sixpulse rectifier are used in the most of highpower rectifying equipment in the high energy consuming industry in our country, but the sixpulse rectifier has low power factor and high current harmonic in condition of low load rate. The theoretical calculation of power factor and harmonic analysis were done for the sixpulse rectifier and the SVPWM rectifier under different load rate, and simulation of the two rectifiers was carried out by Matlab. Combining with the practical measured data of the power conversion devices provided by the manufactures, it was verified that in low load rate condition, comparing with the sixpulse rectifier,the power factor of SVPWM rectifier is higher, and its harmonic pollution on powr grid is lower too.
