Diagnostic analysis of 150MW stream turbine thrust pad oil catch rubbing

Abstract:Based on the major accident of a 150MW power plant’s thrust pad oil catch leakage caused fire,and serious aptitude of No.2 bearing bush while starting commissioning,the author analyzed the vibration spectrum,and indicated that the direct cause is the improper space between thrust pad oil catch and journal,and caused abrasion and fire.Based on the analysis,this paper also included the treatment
measures and eliminated the potential failure.
