Abstract:

A unit was forced to stop operation or low load operation due to submerged chain conveyor tension device frequent failure. After research, the automatic hydraulic system was not featured with depressurized retaining or standby tension. Failure caused chain fall off. After improvement on the tension device, constriction retaining and manual tension were added on the system. The failure hours reduced by 91.8%. Energy generated was increased by 20GW·h. The reliability and economy was increased remarkably. 
