The coal quantity as fire is an important parameter for units equipped with doubleinlet and doubleoutlet mill. Accurate calculation of coal quantity as fire is related to the control and adjustment of the unit. Based on the analysis of the coal mill running mechanism and a large number of field tests, several factors affecting the coal quantity as fire are modified, and various working conditions are considered. A new method for calculating the coal quantity as fire is made, which can control the coal as fire accurately. It solves the great fluctuation of the generators’ parameters caused by large calculating deviation of coal as fire and improve the regulation performance of the unit.
