In recent years, new energy has developed continuously and rapidly in China. However, the proportion of coalfired thermal power in Liaoning is high. The construction conditions for peakload power supply are poor. It is difficult to adjust the peak during the heating period in winter, and the wind power abandonment is serious. Dandong Jinshan Thermal Power Company Limited built a new 260MW solid electric heat storage device, which converts the abandoned wind power into heat energy and supplies it to the heat network. It can ensure peakload regulation in the winter without reduce the heating output, which realizes the thermoelectric decoupling for thermal power units in winter and increase the utilization ratio of new energy sources.
