When the gassteam combined circle cogeneration unit of Jiangsu Huadian Qishuyan Power Generation Company Limited was conducting a dual power supply switching test on the regulator station control source, the emergency shutdown device (ESD) tripped during the switching process. The power supply to ESD was switched to the output end of static switch, but the ESD still tripped .The reason was that the ESD control loop is not self holding loop. When the control loop is equipped with the self holding loop which delays in return after the power loss, the power supply reliability of the regulator station equipment is ensured and the safety hazard is eliminated.
