Method for improving measurement accuracy of soft ground backfilling project

Abstract:

There is a thick layer of silt and silty clay in the shallow subgrade of a coalfired power plant in Vietnam. A large amount of sandblowing backfilling work is required. According to the measurement method provided by the construction contract, there is disparity between the total amount of work measured the contractor and subcontractor. Through analysis, it is determined that the measurement method, measuring point arrangement and calculation method are the main factors affecting the measurement accuracy. The measures such as rationally arranging the ground subsidence observation symbol, improving the observation method, improving the measuring point arrangement and the standardizing calculation method are proposed. The accuracy of work amount measurement is effectively improved, the disputes on measurement are resolved, the interests of both parties are protected, and the project is smoothly implemented.
