Fault prediction system for low voltage power grid based on smart meters

Abstract

Abstract:

Proposes that smart meter can be used as a feedback of “Last gasp” information, which can be combined with the geographic information system and identify lowvoltage fault point of distribution network through grid topology analysis technology.The nonmetering function of smart meter can locate lowvoltage fault of the distribution network, improve the efficiency of lowvoltage power fault treatment, improve operational management efficiency, reduce power grid operating costs,improve power supply reliability and customer satisfaction, which leads to significant economic and social benefits.
