Derating and efficiency optimization operation of wind turbines running above cutout wind speed

Abstract

Abstract:

Through the research on the derating and efficiency improvement of wind turbines, it is safe and feasible to reduce the output of the wind turbines with a cutoff wind speed higher than the designed speed to an extend.This method not only improves the power generation efficiency of the wind turbine itself, and also contributes to the continued stability of ongrid wind farms.
