Abstract:

M aeroderivative gas turbine generator (referred to as LM generator) has extremely high requirements on alignment accuracy. Therefore, there are corresponding technical requirements for the coupling.On one hand, it is necessary to find proper couplings according to their models and performances. On the other hand, the prestretching installation process of the diaphragm coupling must be taken seriously. Taking the coldcentering of an LM6000 gas turbine in a Shunde project as an example, the influence of the incorrect installation process on the coupling and even the entire LM unit was analyzed. In order to avoid the impact of improper operation on the diaphragm coupling, the prestretching installation steps must be strictly followed and the inspection before and during installation must be strengthened.
