    China economic take-off promotes the power industry’s rapid growth, but the power shortage and the environment protection pressure put forward the higher demands on it. Now power industry is exposed to the challenge of exorbitant energy consumption, heavy environmental stress, resource saving, coordinated development,and adjustment of energy structure, while electrical power technical upgrading and development provide the basis for solving these problems. At the present stage, many supercritical units, ultra supercritical units, GTCC, IGCC, large capacity air-cooled units have been adopted and home-made, renewable energy is rapidly developing. Waste combustion gases and waste heat are effectively utilized. The relevance policy is implementing. All of these will provide support for the power industry’s development in the way of scientifically, coordinately, rapidly, efficiently and ordinarily.

    This paper introduces the optimum selection on pipe diameter of feed water system for Zhejiang Guohua Ninghai Power Plant PhaseⅡ 2×1000 MW Extension Project. After advised calculation and analysis, comparing deferent schemes of pipe size of feed water system technically and economically, the optimized pipe specifications have been selected for low-pressure pipe, high-pressure pipe and recirculation pipe in the feed water system.

    Aiming at the ignition and stabilizing combustion problem of low volatile coal, the constitution of ignition and combustion stability system and structure of burner with tiny-oil in abundant oxygen were introduced, and the principle of ignition and combustion stability was analyzed. The primary air flow field and temperature field of burning were numerically simulated and the features were further analyzed in detail. It has been verified by the analyzing that the intensity and speed of burning are improved and the time of ignition is shortened greatly with the help of abundant oxygen. After passing the nozzle of the burner, the pulverized coal-air in turbulence flows to the circulation zone and disperses in the same time, mixing rapidly with the hot flue gas, therefore favoring to the stabilizing combustion of low volatile coal. This result provides theory basis for the reform of the burner with tiny-oil in abundant oxygen in coal-fired power plant.

    Technique on large capacity ultrasupercritical units and present status/development trends of large ACC units are introduced in this report. The selection of main equipments and technical characteristics of the 1000MW ACC units which will be constructed soon in the project phase II in Lingwu Power Plant are expounded, and also their environment protecting and energy saving prospect. The problems should be considered during manufacturing and needed to be studied further on 1000MW ultrasupercritical ACC units are put forward in this paper.

    Hybrid SNCR-SCR denitrification technique is a new and mature process which combines the higher efficiency of SCR and the lower cost of SNCR. The characteristics of hybrid SNCR-SCR de-NOX process, and compares it with SCR process and SNCR process technically and economically ware introduced. It has been certificated by the practice that the hybrid SNCR-SCR de-NOX process can keep high efficiency with lower coast by eliminating the ammonia injection grid (AIG) and decreasing catalytic volume, therefore it’s a flue gas treatment technology on which should be pay attention.

    In tangential combustion system, the reheat steam temperature can be adjusted by changing burner nozzle angle to just the flame position. Adopting tilting burner is also an important way to adjust furnace outlet flue gas temperature. The significance of function recovery for tilting burner, effect factor, transformation situation were illustrated, energy saving benefit was analyzed, and the effect of adopting reheater reducing temperature water to system efficiency was discussed. It is important to know temperature adjusting characters of tiling burner, which would affect boiler safe and steady operation.

    The secondary municipal effluent mixed with sewage water and waste water discharged from power plant itself has been used as the water source of circulating supplement water after deep treatment by lime. According to the dynamic test for the circulation cooling water and the corrosion speed measurement of related metallic materials, the maximum stable concentration ratio which can be achieved was introduced, and the characteristics of metal corrosion was described. The conclusions have been approved by applied in the circulation water system for safe and stable operation.

    Automatic standby power supply switching device is applied in power system widely. The device can be realized by using PLC. The four cases of automatic standby power supply switching of internal bridge main connection were analyzed. Because of the difference between charge and discharge condition of the four cases, they can be realized by means of software programming of PLC. The device has merits of high reliability, flexible controlling, simple connection mode, convenient debugging and economical investment compared with the same conventional device constructed by using relays.

    Huadian Qingdao Power Generation Corporation Limited adopts BBD4060C type double-inlet & double-outlet coal mill, Because of the decrease of coal quality and the increase of sundry things in coal, the separator deflector baffles were blocked up frequently to lead to the negative influence on safety and stability of system running. To solve this problem, the number of deflect baffles was reduced to half, and length was doubled. After the reforming no blockage occurred again.

    At the present time quite a lot of new units put into operation unceasingly and many older units need to build environmental protection equipments in our country. According to the Retrofit experience of the desulphurization system of 600 MW unit in the third stage project and the operation problems of 1000MW unit in the forth stage as well as the accident occurred in the electric precipitator in recent years at Zouxian Power Plant, this paper discussed their advantages and disadvantages, and presented the overall plan scheme about flue gas desulphurization and denitrification in order to avoid investment with repetition.

    The valve control type lead-acid sealing battery has strict request to charging current, the voltage, the time and the temperature. The characters of maintenance-free accumulator were introduced, such as maintenance, seal, temperature and charge. The disadvantage of direct current operation way in the Hua’an hydropower station was pointed, and the improvement method on the replacement and charge way technique was suggested, while the complete set microcomputer charging set transformation was transformed. The system was stable after the improvement.

    Through searching and analyzing the fail-to-break problem of type ZN12-35/1250 circuit breaker in operation after commissioning, some defects in unreasonable design and manufacture were fond out, the improved scheme was proposed. After welding a 50×5 channel steel on the breaker backplane as the fixing plate of breaking spring, moving the fixed end of breaking spring outward, making the angle between breaking spring and transmission crank less then 180°, until now the breaker has worked well for 9 years.

    The unit #5 of Wuxijiang Hydropower Plant is monitoried and controlled by computers and operated at the “unmanned on duty” mode. But there were some problems in its mechanical brake system, including longer time needed for stopping by mechanical brake, mechanical fatigue, deformation and cracking due to friction, and lower automation level. To solving these problems, the electrical brake stopping system has been adopted and relevant test has been carried out for investigating. Now the unit stopping performance is improved, the environment quality and automation level are raised after the brake system reformation.

    The wind farm sitting is the primary work in the construction of wind-electric power plant, it includes macro and micro sitting. Macro sitting is the major work at the stage of prophase planning which need to evaluate the wind energy resource by using the data collected from local weather stations and consider the power network, transportation, geology etc. While micro sitting is the main work at the stage of design, at this stage the site of every unit will be fixed according to the distribution map of wind energy resource and correlative restrictive conditions so that the demand of the client and the relevant departments can be satisfied and the better economic and social benefit of the wind farm can be gained. In this paper the sitting process was introduced and the suggestions were proposed based on one coastal wind farm.
