Abstract: Based on the analyzing for the characteristic of electric control system（ECS）, this thesis surveyed the development of ECS, and introduces its monitoring scope and main functions. Several problems, which should be paid more attention to, have been pointed out combining with the engineering application of Huaneng Yuhuan power plant.
