Abstract: In this paper the current status of energy saving and emissions reducing in power industry were introduced, and existing problems were pointed out. The following proposals were put foreword by author: to step up our efforts to promote the adjustment of electric power industrial structure, further strengthen technique transform for the old units, deep the reform of legal system and market, perfect the mechanism of energy saving and emissions reducing, intensify the research on science of energy saving and emissions reducing, give full play to the role of self- discipline.
