Reason analysis of bush burning loss fault of steamdriven feed pump in 600MW unit and countermeasure

Abstract: The bush burning loss fault of steamdriven feed pump was happened repeatedly in 2×600MW units of Hunan Huadian Changsha Power Generation Corporation Limited, and which caused a grave threat to units safety operation. The parameters before and after bush burning loss were compared, the bush burning loss appearance was analyzed, and some experiments were accomplished. Then the basic reasons of bush burning loss fault were found which is that there were large particulates in oil and the oil temperature was lower at operation. A series of measures were adopted which includes to increase the lubricating oil pressure, to enlarge the oil inlet throttling plate and to control the oil temperature of small turbine strictly and others, so the problem of bush burning loss was resolved effectively.
