Abstract: The overview and the design parameters of the hydraulic trash remover in Shanxiu Hydropower Station were introduced. The composition, the working principle and the electrical control of the hydraulic trash remover were expounded. After the hydraulic trash remover was put into operation, its operation is favorable, and its safety and reliability attained the design objectives. 
