Abstract: The principle of dry method flue gas integrated purification technology using lignite activated coke was introduced. The development research (including the raw material selection, the manufacturing process，the properties of the products etc.) and application for lignite activated coke with relative lower price were expounded. The main research contents and the obtained results of the lignite activated coke in China were analyzed. At last, it was pointed out emphatically that one of the key problems for application and dissemination of the flue gas purification technology using activated coke is to reduce the cost of the activated coke. 
