Design of radial working gate of sand sluicing gate in Caojie navigation and hydropower junction project

Abstract: The working gate of sand sluicing gate of Caojie Navigation and Hydropower Junction Project is extra large type exterior radial gate. The operation condition of the gate is complex. When the water level is the check flood level and the discharge gate is opened fully, the gate bottom edge is in 14.18m below the water surface. The general structure, the design form, the selection of the hoist type and other technical problems of the radial gate were introduced. The experimental research on the flow induced vibration model of the gate structure was carried out, which proved the rationality of the design.
