Analysis and control of steam overtemperature in separated platen superheater outlet of 600MW supercritical boiler at initial startup stage

Abstract: The attemperating water system is not designed in the inlet of the separated platen superheater of the 600MW supercritical boiler manufactured in Shanghai Boiler Works Corporation Limited. At the initial startup stage of the boiler, due to the plasma ignition and the larger heat loss of the boiler in wetstate operation stage, the steam temperature in outlet of the separated platen superheater is easily exceeded the limit. Aiming at this problem, based on analysis and site practice, the effective method to control the outlet steam temperature was found.
