Abstract: The energyloss indexes were introduced into the benchmarking of the coalfired power unit; and a concept of energyloss benchmarking was proposed. The collection of operation values, the confirming of target values and the calculation method of the energyloss under different operation parameters were expounded systematically. Combining with the example of energyloss benchmarking of China Huadian Corporation, the advantages of the energyloss benchmarking and the necessary functions of the energyloss benchmarking system were illustrated.
