Abstract: Some problems, such as the serious wear, the decreased heat exchange efficiency and the increased air leakage, existed in heat pipe type air preheater of boiler No.7 of Tianjin Junliangcheng Power Generation Corporation Limited. The construction technical scheme for integrally replacing the heat pipe type air preheater and relevant safety precautions were introduced in detail. The comparison of the test data after replacing with that before replacing indicates that after the heat pipe type air preheater had been replaced, the operation situation was obviously improved, and the prospective effect was achieved.
