Method to prevent shaft seal locking fault of 1000MW steam turbine in startup and shutdown processes

Abstract: The accident of shaft seal locking of 1000MW domestic steam turbine was happened repeatedly. The structure of the shaft seal and the characteristics of its steam supply control system were introduced. The reasons of shaft seal locking were analyzed; and relevant solution was put forward, which is helpful to ensure safety of steam turbine in startup and shutdown processes.
