Abstract: The intelligent power grid is the development direction of modern power grid; and it requires the future distribution network to be able to accept distributed generations (DG) freely. However, the DG (especially the intermittent renewable energy source distributed generation) has characteristics of dispersion and random variation, to access of mass of DG into distribution network will influence greatly on safe and stable operation of the system. A new evaluation method for comprehensively and accurately evaluating the reliability of the distribution network with DG, which includes wind farms, photovoltaic power stations and others, was put forward. The reliability model of intermittent distributed generation (IDG) was established. The associated matrix was imported to deal with the partition of the solitary island. The reliability evaluation method for distribution network with IDG was introduced. The influence mechanism of DG on the reliability of the distribution network was analyzed by examples, which provides certain reference for expansion plan of distribution network with multiple complementary energy sources.
