Abstract: Abstract:The control object of the coal mill load control system is typical nonlinear and timevarying system with large lag, and it is more difficult to obtain better control result by conventional control method. Based on the advantages of the prediction control in solving complex and barely controllable objects, a model algorithm control (MAC) scheme was proposed and used to solve the problem of coal mill load control. The simulation result shows that under conditions of the model parameters variation, the internal perturbation and the setting destabilization, the stability, the robustness and the antiinterference performance of the model algorithm control are all superior to that of conventional PID control. At last, based on the simulation result, an applicable for practical engineering model algorithm control design scheme was put forward, which can be used in power plant operation when certain conditions are available.
