Abstract

Abstract:

In this paper, running conditions and main failure modes of low pressure evaporators in heat recovery boilers of several gas power plants of Huadian Corporation were investigated. The result shows that flow accelerated corrosion (FAC) is the main reason of tube leakage in low pressure evaporators. After that, this paper expounded the corrosion mechanism and its influencing factors of FAC, and proposed some countermeasures from the aspects of design, material selection, operation and maintenance, etc.
