Fault and treatment of condensate system during startup of 660MW unit

Abstract

Abstract:

During the first start of a power generation company’s unit after its overhaul, the aqua soluble paper residue used in the pipe welding on the boiler heating surface entered the condenser from the bypass system. It caused clog of condensate pumps’s outlet filters successively，which forced the boiler to stop. The filters were blocked again right after cleaning, which affected the startup process. A method in which condensate system was separated from the water supply system was used in circulating washing the condensate system. The unit returned to normal operation. Finally the problems that should be noticed during the units’ overhaul are summarized.
