Wind power fluctuation mitigation strategy based on double Kalman filter considering the SOC of the energy storage system

Abstract:

Since the power fluctuation mitigation strategy for the energy storage system in a wind power-energy storage hybrid system can affect the service life and grid connected power of the battery,a wind power fluctuation mitigation strategy considering the SOC of the energy storage system is proposed based on double Kalman filter. Firstly, the target grid-connected power signal is obtained by double Kalman filter.Then, the optimized energy storage power control command is obtained according to different energy storage power smoothing signal. When the SOC of the battery deviates from the normal operating range in forward or reverse direction, the corresponding optimization energy storage power control signal is sent out to adjust the target wind power grid-connected power. The simulation results show that the proposed method can effectively improve the SOC of the energy storage system,mitigate the fluctuation of wind power, improve the economy of the energy storage system and facilitate the wind power grid connection.
