Numerical simulation of flue gas distribution in multiple desulphurization towers using active coke

Abstract: By using numerical simulation method, the flue gas distribution of flue gas purification desulphurization equipment integrated from multiple desulphurization towers using active coke was studied. The nonuniformity of gas flux existed between various desulphurization towers and between various adsorption units was found and revealed. In order to enhance the desulphurization efficiency of the equipment and the use ratio of the active coke, multiple hypothetical regulating schemes were tried, compared and filtered. The research result shows that the flue gas distribution can be regulated uniform by changing the diameters of the flue gas inlet branch pipes.
