Abstract: The superheater pipes of a certain power plant were detected by using the fast, non-destructive testing of inside oxide skin of boiler pipes and metallographic examination, and their lifetimes were diagnosed. The result shows that the thickness of inside oxide skin of superheater pipes is less than 0.15mm, the thickness of metal layer is no found to reduce obviously, its hardness is normal, the aging level of 12Cr1MoV is 3 which is moderate aging, TP347shows aging trend, the residual lifetimes of each pipe are longer than 60000h.
