Abstract: Based on the analysis of the valve standards for nuclear power plant and ordinary power plant at home and abroad, these two kinds of valve standards were compared in the respects of the classification, application, main technical conditions and the concrete valve standard etc. By referring to existing valve standard for ordinary power plant, the valve standard for nuclear power plant was blended in the valve standard for ordinary power plant. But in many respects, the valve standard for nuclear power plant has higher technical requirements. The operation approach, which the valve standard for nuclear power plant is combined with the existing relevant standards of electric power industry, was pointed out. This paper proposes to establish unified coordinative power plant valve standard to promote the development of the general electric power industry (the nuclear power generation is included).
