Abstract: The cracks occurrence in outlet end cover of mill A of boiler No.5 in a power plant was introduced. Aiming at current situation, relevant emergency measures were adopted, the crack extension had been controlled effectively, and normal operation of the equipment was ensured. Later on, a concrete scheme was formulated and the end cover was replaced; and the safe and stable operation of the mill was ensured.
